Twitter rebranding inspires WWF’s new wildlife conservation campaign

The World Wide Fund for Nature created an impactful graphic to urge action to protect endangered species

Twitter’s rebrand to X caused plenty of reaction and memes online. The World Wide Fund for Nature, more popularly known as WWF, decided to use the rebrand as a force for good.

The German branch of the WWF created a graphic that showed the evolution of Twitter’s blue bird logos over the years, but for a different message.

The graphic shows how the bluebird changed designs from 2006 to a black ‘X’ logo in 2023. But the ‘X’ logo represents its imminent extinction if we don’t take active steps to protect wildlife.

The timeline-style image was created by advertising agency McCann Germany.

This tweet has more than 22,000 likes so far, with one user commenting: “Twitter might be dead, but creativity lives on.”
