KFC Arabia and Cheetos team up to create crunchy chicken

KFC and Cheetos have collaborated to introduce a new culinary creation: Crunchin’ Cheese Fried Chicken.

Chuck Studios, the global food advertising specialist, has teamed up with KFC Dubai and Pepsico’s Cheetos to introduce the restaurant’s latest creation, the ‘Crunchin’ Cheese Chicken’.

Rolling out across the Middle East, the campaign is a crunch-filled 80-second live-action film showcasing Colonel Sanders and a CGI Chester the Cheetah dancing it out in the kitchen to perfect the new recipe, combining KFC’s signature breaded chicken with a special Cheetos coating.

Chuck Studios brings the finger-lickin’ goodness of ‘Chrunchin’ Cheese Chicken’ to life with a mouthwatering 30-second kitchen sequence, which showcases KFC’s signature fried chicken and Cheetos crisps.

What began with teasers and social media buzz has developed into a 360-degree campaign. With Colonel Sanders and Chester the Cheetah leading the charge, this collaboration aims to tantalise your taste buds.

From TV commercials to engaging digital experiences and eye-catching outdoor ads, consumers can embark on a new gastronomic journey.

The two brands are officially #PartnersInCrunch. In the campaign’s main film Colonel Sanders and Chester the Cheetah have a showdown in Colonel’s Kitchen to create the new recipe. 

The live-action part of the campaign, in which the two brand mascots cook up their collaborative scheme, was handled by the production partner Good People.

It launches on out-of-home and digital platforms including connected TV and programmatic channels across the Middle East.

Brand and agency teams were on board with sprinkling in fresh camera movements, new angles and weird lenses, so there was a lot to experiment with to underline the iconic and unique proposition. I have to admit though, I ate a few too many Cheetos on set. Cheetos dust all over my gear. Talk about finger lickin’ good.”
