FilMe set ups OTT hybrid platform with Khaleej Times

FilMe, a recent entrant in the OTT space, has partnered with distribution organisations like Khaleej Times, retail store Lulu Hypermarkets and convenience store ZOOM, an e-payment solution provider One PrePay, NT Payments and Gulf Solutions. FilMe has emerged as an entertainment platform with its hybrid content delivery mechanism. Recently, FilMe clocked a million usages in a short span of 7 months. FilMe offers a method to enjoy the latest movies with a simple QR code.

On the content front, FilMe has created a niche for itself with regional Indian content primarily in Malayalam and Tamil languages, releasing an average of two movies every week. Recent titles available at Lulu Hypermarkets include Karnan, Mandela, Nizhal and Aarkariyam. Consumers can now buy movies right from the cash counters of Lulu Hypermarkets, helping FilMe in having a dedicated following of customers buying their favourite films for immediate consumption without any app download or subscription. FilMe is now live at the Lulu online store as well.

FilMe has set up a hybrid platform with Khaleej Times www.ktfilme.com where viewers can watch movies seamlessly on smartphones, tablets and on smart TVs. Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai starred by Salman Khan, had its digital premiere on the UAE on KTFilme.com, where plenty of Hindi content is available for free. Soon customers will have access to a huge variety of free content of over 1000 hours of new movies.

“Khaleej Times has always believed in moving with the times. Our association with FilMe is part of our commitment to provide our readership and viewers with direct-to-consumer entertainment. Hitting the million ballpark figure is just the beginning as we look forward to providing our loyal readers with more valuable products,” said Suhail Galadari, Director of Khaleej Times.

The hybrid distribution model which covers standard brick and mortar retail, e-commerce and assisted kiosk sales through real-time API integrations is helping FilMe’s comprehensive direct-to-consumer unprecedented reach.

The director of the commercial department of NT.Payments, Roman Krasitskii, said: “We are pleased to become partners with FilMe and be part of this innovative platform promotion in the Middle East market. NT.Payments users can enjoy the most popular movies, provided by FilMe.
