Those That Do appoints Claire Sutton as Creative Director effective immediately

Independent full-service creative agency, Those That Do, has appointed award-winning art director and designer, Claire Sutton, as its new Creative Director, bolstering the agency’s creative offering.

In the newly created role Sutton will lead creative delivery for Those That Do clients across its offices in Sydney, Melbourne, London and Dubai, overseeing creative direction and leading the agency’s creative team.

Sutton is a career creative, with more than 15 years’ experience in advertising design and branding. Her work has appeared throughout Australia and southeast Asia and has been recognised by D&AD, The Webbys and Anthem.

Her appointment follows the announcement this month of a new identity for Those That Do, reflecting its evolution from a nimble collective of thinkers into a multi-market creative company driving tangible brand action.

Commenting on the appointment, Those That Do Founder and CEO, Ben Walker, said, “Claire is a positively-charged creative, with a track record for bringing a unique energy and style to her work. She has a deep understanding of visual appeal and tone and has been recognised by the industry for her innovative, groundbreaking ideas and process.”

Walker added, “Her commitment to delivering new solutions and fresh creative makes her a good fit to head up our creative division and our client portfolio – I’m beyond excited to have Claire as part of our team.”

Sutton comes to Those That Do from Paper Moose, where she was the Creative Lead, working on major client campaigns for Rollin’ Insurance. Prior to this, she held senior creative roles at Purpose, Reset Australia, Republic of Everyone and Clemenger BBDO, leading brand and art direction for clients including Patagonia, Absolut Vodka, Maxwell + Williams, Sydney Water and Salvos Stores, among others.

She has also tutored at Western Sydney University, teaching communications design.

Reacting to her appointment, Sutton said, “With my background in creative direction, design and illustration and my focus on socially responsible communications, Those That Do is the ideal next step in my career – a place where I can continue to bring my unique blend of creativity and purpose to every project. My focus is on delivering high-quality creative for clients that not only engages but also inspires positive change.”

Sutton added, “Those That Do’s mission to create meaningful momentum for brands directly aligns with my passion for insightful storytelling and impactful activations – I’m excited to be part of this next phase for the agency and working with the team.”

Sutton’s appointment is effective immediately. She will be based in Those That Do’s Sydney office, working closely with Founder and CEO, Ben Walker.
