With businesses starting to go back but contagion still in the air, having a crisis comms plan has never been more important.
But TheCommsRoom’s Zaib Shadani says being prepared shouldn’t be intimidating.
“From what we’ve seen, most SMEs have got no crisis comms plan in place,” she says. “The reasons we hear most often are ‘it’s too expensive,’ ‘we don’t have an agency’ or ‘we don’t have resources’.”
But one afternoon’s brainstorming and preparation should be enough to mitigate damage in most circumstances, says Shadani.
TheCommsRoom is running a free webinar at 12.30pm on Tuesday (Dubai time) where she will explain the basics of crisis comms and give clients of all sizes, easily actionable advice for practical preparations in case the worst happens.
In the webinar you will learn key crisis communication strategies, including how protect your company’s reputation, reassure stakeholders (including employees and customers), set up your task force, conduct a risk assessment, draft holding statements and much more.
