Ramadan round-up: New campaigns so far

As the holy month starts, we look at some of the campaigns that have caught our eye, and those giving back

We start with luxury Swiss watchmaker TAG Heuer’s ‘Time is a Gift’ Ramadan campaign, tastefully shot with crescent moonlight imagery.

It says the campaign “recognises the deep cultural significance of Arabian heritage and traditions”.

“In celebration of Ramadan, TAG Heuer unveils its latest campaign, drawing inspiration from the diverse phases of the moon.

“They not only represent the current moment but also signify the ever-flowing passage of time, expressing movement and highlighting TAG Heuer’s role as the ultimate timekeeper.”

Next up, we have Samsung which has unveiled its ‘Welcome AI this Ramadan’ campaign, offering consumers an opportunity to embrace the latest innovations.

The holy month has presented the electronics giant with an opportunity to feature both AI-led and other products.

We like how Samsung is transforming the Ramadan experience via its integrated ecosystem.

Giving back

We have also seen a healthy number of initiatives aimed at giving back to the less fortunate this Ramadan.

McDonald’s UAE is enabling its customers to donate their Rewards Points to support the humanitarian aid efforts of Emirates Red Crescent.

It will match the total Rewards Points donation amount made by customers, during the holy month. Customers can choose to donate as many times as they wish, with every 100 Rewards Points equating to AED 1.

And  Amazon said that it will continue its long-standing partnership with the UAE Food Bank to launch the 2024 edition of ‘Iftar on Wheels’, a meal donation programme that will support thousands of families in need.

Now in its fourth year, the partnership with the Food Bank will leverage Amazon’s operations network, technology and scale to pack and distribute iftar meals to thousands of beneficiaries across the Emirates during Ramadan.

We all go through hard, stressful times in life, it’s part of our reality. Sometimes, these times blind us from seeing anything else and we become so taken and overwhelmed by the stresses of life, we lose sight of what truly matters.

Car brands

Mercedes-Benz’s Ramadan campaign is founded on the premise that “we’re trying to remind everyone that life is filled with light and blessings all around.  All you have to do is open your heart, find the light and you will see how blessed you are.”

Its campaign tagline is “Fill your life with light and blessings” which features a calming film using the keywords blessings, patience, generosity and hope.
