New podcast to ‘find authenticity in Dubai’s glitzy glamour’

Let's Talk DXB says it is all about ‘real conversations by real people’

A new podcast and communications platform has been launched to ‘address topics often left untouched’.

Let’s Talk DXB says it is redefining Dubai’s dialogue scene and making waves with its refreshing approach. Its tagline is ‘real conversations by real people’.

“The podcast’s authentic and candid conversations provide a sense of comfort and reassurance that is often hard to find in a city known for its relentless pursuit of perfection,” said Sharon Missah, its founder and host.

“In a world where vulnerability is often seen as a weakness, Let’s Talk DXB stands as a testament to the power of authenticity.”

One of the key missions of the podcast is to promote diversity in media representation.

“Despite years of progress, mainstream media still needs to represent diverse faces and voices adequately. I am committed to driving change in the media industry by promoting inclusion and ensuring that all perspectives are heard.”

Let’s Talk DXB is built on three core pillars:

Open dialogue: offering honest discussions, bringing together a diverse range of people to share their experiences, opinions and perspectives on matters that are not commonly discussed in Dubai.

Community: The platform serves as a network where the DXB community can connect, converse and support each other in a non-judgmental and inclusive space. It fosters a sense of belonging and collaboration.

Knowledge-based conversations: It facilitates valuable educational conversations with professionals from various industries. These conversations provide insights and information that empower the community with knowledge and awareness.

Experts and professionals are drawn from diverse fields, from financial advisors to mental health experts.

Since its launch, Let’s Talk DXB has witnessed an overwhelming response, garnering over half a million views across various platforms including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
