Dutch production company MediaMonks has appointed a new business director to oversee its recently launched Dubai office.
Coen Doolaard, former mobile business lead at the firm’s Amsterdam base, will take over the role previously filled by Ali Mansoor.
Doolaard will be responsible for relationships between the company and agency-clients in the region, including hotel group Jumeirah, for whom MediaMonks created the 360-degree, Google Street View-experience ‘Jumeirah Inside’.
Victor Knaap, chief executive, said: “We are very happy Coen will be heading-up our Dubai office. With his extensive knowledge of mobile at MediaMonks HQ, he is an excellent person to run the Middle East region where the majority of content is consumed on a mobile device.”
He added: “At 6ft 8, Coen is probably the biggest guy in the region to be specialised in the smallest screens.”
MediaMonks opened the Dubai office in March 2016 and work with agencies such as JWT, Leo Burnett and 180, on projects for brands including Google, Nike and Ooredoo.
