“From what we’ve seen, most SMEs have got no crisis comms plan in place,” she says. “The reasons we hear most often are ‘it’s too expensive,’ ‘we don’t have an agency’ or ‘we don’t have resources’.”
But one afternoon’s brainstorming and preparation should be enough to mitigate damage in most circumstances, says Shadani.
