The Comms Room launches, offering complimentary PR and social media resources for SMEs and entrepreneurs

PR and digital marketing firm Shadani Consulting has announced the launch of The Comms Room (www.thecommsroom.academy), aimed at supporting SMEs and entrepreneurs with free PR and social media resources. With over 90% of businesses in the GCC being cash strapped SMEs, The Comms Room is a platform where SMEs can access a library of Do It Yourself (DIY) resources, professional templates, webinars and best practice guidelines to learn the fundamentals of communications, develop their PR strategy, engage in effective crisis communications and much more.

The Comms Room is spearheaded by Zaib Shadani, a PR and digital marketing expert who has worked with global powerhouses including TAG Heuer, Max Factor and Unilever. She has also been a catalyst for the SME community, generating media exposure around funding rounds and milestone announcements – including award-winning travel-tech startup Hotel Data Cloud, that was recently recognized by the United Nations as a disruptive startup for post COVID-19 recovery.

A response to the changing needs and concerns of a COVID-19 affected community, The Comms Room offers strategic tools and communication templates to enable individuals and SMEs to enhance their media footprint, break through the media clutter and re-engage with customers – at no cost. It also extends a complimentary strategy session with Zaib Shadani, where SMEs can get expert advice and plan for next steps. Additionally, for those that don’t have the time to implement the tactics, subsidized PR and social media ‘Pay As You Go’ packages are also available.

“With the UAE government estimating that 70% of businesses may close due to the impact of COVID-19, we have to come together as a community and support wherever we can. We know that many SMEs and entrepreneurs are struggling to activate their PR and marketing, but they are precisely the ones who need to be promoting their company and services. The idea for The Comms Room came from a desire to empower small businesses to be able to engage in the basics of PR and social media for themselves, while also allowing them to upskill,” said Zaib Shadani, Founder of The Comms Room.
