Hills Advertising LLC’s Sami Al Mufleh explains why committing to eco-friendly practices and practicing sustainability has become essential rather than optional.

“Embracing sustainability in OOH advertising is something we see as essential rather than optional,” writes Sami Al Mufleh, Founder and CEO of Hills Advertising LLC.

As the CEO of one of the oldest outdoor advertising companies in the UAE, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the growth and transformation of our industry over the past two decades.

Today, sustainability has become a crucial focus that guides our practices in out-of-home (OOH) advertising.

Globally, the push for sustainable practices in advertising has gained momentum. Consumers are increasingly aware of their environmental impact, and this shift is prompting our industry to adopt more responsible approaches.

In the UAE, where sustainability is a national priority, we find ourselves in a unique position to contribute positively to this important movement.

At Hills Advertising, we are dedicated to making meaningful changes. One of our initiatives has been to repurpose printed banners after campaigns.

By collaborating with our clients, we’re able to transform materials that would otherwise go to waste into reusable items.

This practice not only reduces waste but also encourages creativity and collaboration within our community.

We’ve also focused on using eco-friendly printing processes and energy-saving lighting for our digital displays.

Transitioning to energy-efficient LED lighting has helped us reduce operational costs and lower energy consumption, which we believe is a small but significant step towards sustainability.

Additionally, if all companies aim to use biodegradable inks and recyclable materials, we can lessen our environmental footprint while delivering high-quality visuals that our clients expect.

Looking at the broader picture, it’s clear that sustainability is a collective effort that requires input from all of us in the industry.

If all companies aim to use biodegradable inks and recyclable materials, we can lessen our environmental footprint while delivering high-quality visuals that our clients expect.

We hope to inspire others to adopt similar practices, as sharing experiences and insights can foster growth for everyone involved.

At Hills Advertising, our aspiration is to lead by example in sustainable advertising solutions while remaining open to learning from others.

On a national level, we align ourselves with the UAE’s vision for a greener future. By focusing on sustainability, we hope to support our country’s goals in reducing waste and promoting environmental responsibility.

In conclusion, embracing sustainability in OOH advertising is something we see as essential rather than optional. We believe that by committing to eco-friendly practices, we can contribute to a more sustainable future for our industry and our nation.

Together, let’s create impactful campaigns that not only engage our audiences but also honor our commitment to the UAE and to the planet.
