The WOW Mentoring Programme involves matching 25 Mentors with Mentees from WPP agencies across the region. The Mentees, stemming from the Stella MENA LinkedIn community, will be invited to apply for one of the spots through an online application process, with the final selection approved by the Stella MENA Board. The Mentors will be a combination of both male and female from the 25 WPP companies operating across MENA.

“We are extremely excited about the launch of this pioneering programme for women of WPP in the region to coincide with International Women’s Day 2023,” said Jennifer Hamdan, Chief People Officer at Memac Ogilvy and Stella MENA Board Member, “We wished to launch an initiative that further delivered on our purpose to connect, inspire and empower the women in our network, and we believe that there is no better way than a home grown mentoring programme that will create impact in women’s careers.”

Stella MENA, WPP’s community of female employees, held its inaugural networking event on 1 February in Dubai, which was attended by over 40 members of the Stella MENA network, representing 15 WPP agencies. Stella MENA was formed in recognition of the need for women to connect, network and empower each other to achieve equity in the workplace.

Stella MENA will be hosting a series of professional networking events and social activities over the coming months, exclusively for female employees of WPP across the region. Additionally, membership of Stella MENA offers access to a private LinkedIn group.

Stella MENA was founded in 2021 by a group of female WPP leaders from the region who came together with the objective of elevating women’s voices and visibility in the region, aligning with WPP’s vision to empower women across all sectors.
