Celebrating World Arabic Language Day, Spacetoon Supports Google’s initiative “Internet Heroes”

Children in MENA can now learn how to keep safe while surfing online with help from Google.

Spacetoon, the family content provider, producer and broadcaster, has recently announced its collaboration with Google to support “Abtal Al Internet”, (“Internet Heroes”), an initiative that teaches children aged 7 to 12, different methods of keeping safe while being online, with the help of their parents and teachers.

Spacetoon has revealed its support for the initiative as part of a campaign that aims to support Arabic language and content. The audience will get to know more about the initiative through Spacetoon’s TV channel and social media pages.

Focusing on 5 pillars, ‘Abtal Al Intenret’ helps children navigate the online world with confidence by learning how to be smart, alert, strong, kind and brave. The online platform offers educators an online curriculum to teach digital safety and citizenship. It also includes “A’alam Al Internet” (“Internet World”), an online adventure for children that puts the key lessons of digital safety into hands-on practice with challenging games.

Spacetoon declared that this partnership with Google has just come in the perfect time when the first Arabic kids’ and family channel is celebrating World Arabic Language Day for 10 days across all its platforms. This program is considered to be one of the most inspiring programs that Google has launched in MENA, which employs the Arabic language to raise awareness of the importance of digital safety among children and families.
