Mathilde Montel, Communications Director, Red Havas Middle East: Rusol joined Red Havas at Havas Middle Eastover a year ago and is now an integral part of the Corporate PR team; she is highly reliable, collaborative and PR-savvy. Once she takes the lead on a project, she is very results-driven, acts quick and makes sure to cover every aspect with her diligence and touch of creativity. Some of her most successful PR campaigns include the launch of The View at the Palm by Nakheel and L’Oréal – UNESCO’s ‘For Women in Science’ regional program. Her energy is contagious, she is truly appreciated by her peers and valued by her clients.
I joined Red Havas at Havas Middle East in March 2021 as a senior communications executive. In my current role in the corporate division, I handle PR for retail, F&B and tourism clients, with experience on accounts such as Nakheel, L’Oréal and Tourism Ireland.
Prior to joining Red Havas, I worked at Edelman Middle East for two years on the brand team across various consumer accounts and projects, from Dubai Food Festival, Dubai Fitness Challenge, Ideas Abu Dhabi to Nissan Middle East and LEGO Middle East.
I also have previous experience in digital, specifically in social media marketing at agencies like Younoh Media and The Platinum House, where I drafted content, planned and executed social media campaigns. After one year of experience, I began a new career path in PR at Atteline, a boutique PR agency in Dubai, where I interned for three months.
I’ve living in the UAE since 2004 and hold a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Journalism and Media from Middlesex University Dubai.
– Although scary and challenging at the start of anyone’s career, I believe that taking responsibility allows me to learn from my mistakes and resolve problems on my own.
– Working in communications has taught me the importance of communicating clearly and honestly with my team, my superiors and clients, no matter how difficult it might feel.
– Whether it’s for me or my colleagues, creating a positive environment and prioritizing mental health allows us to grow and nourish within the workplace.
