In conversation with Campaign Middle East on its ‘On The Record‘ podcast, Jad Saab, the Digital Growth Lead at MBC Media Solutions (MMS), delves into the future of digital advertising in the MENA region.
In this latest episode, Jad shares his expertise on harnessing the power of digital platforms like Shahid and Samsung Ads to revolutionise brand reach and engagement.
From unlocking the potential of Connected TV to exploring seamless brand integration solutions, Jad offers a deep dive into the strategies that are driving digital growth and maximising impact for advertisers.
Sharing a snippet from an intriguing conversation, Saab said, “We have two types of brand integration, either pre- or post-production. In pre-production, for example, we have a brand placed on the table in front of us casually during a conversation. We use it, we interact with it, we talk about it. This requires a lot of planning and work from script writing to production, and usually costs more money than any other integration. However, the interaction with the brand seems very natural and seamless – because people use phones anyway, wear a watch anyway, and dress naturally anyway.”
He added, “In post-production, through a really cool AI, we can identify cues within a TV show or series, where it makes sense to insert a brand and it fits the product within the show – for instance, on a table – and you would never know that the product was not originally there during the original shoot. It seamlessly fits into the scene. It can even fit in a smarter way – Consider an actor within a show driving down the road, we can fit in outdoor signs or billboards with ads within the show, and it looks so natural to that scene and setting. The fit is very important and it’s much cheaper than pre-production brand integrations.”
