Subway became the first quick-service restaurant (QSR) brand in MENA to transform Amazon Fresh delivery bags into a unique launch vehicle for their new breakfast menu. These vibrant green bags featured appetizing designs of Subway breakfast meals and a compelling incentive to scan.
Upon scanning the QR code, customers would be directed to their nearest Subway location for a free coffee. The campaign was further amplified with Amazon DSP display banners engaging breakfast audiences. More than 100,000 bags were delivered in the UAE, driving 2x scan rates for the QR code (vs the MENA average).
Unilever’s laundry detergent brand, Comfort, transformed Amazon Fresh delivery bags into a mobile activated ad and launched a limited-edition Ramadan fragrance. These colorful bags, complete with QR codes, guided customers to Comfort’s Brand Store on Amazon.ae, turning a simple delivery into an interactive brand experience.
The campaign, featuring placements like homepage hero banners with Amazon DSP and Sponsored Ads, kept Comfort front and center during this exclusive launch. Skincare brand NIVEA launched an Amazon OBA campaign in Saudi Arabia with a meaningful insight; Nivea understood that many women in Saudi Arabia desired more confidence in their skin. For this reason, NIVEA aimed to inspire customers to celebrate and love their natural skin. They transformed Amazon boxes into a canvas of various skin tone shades representative of Saudi women.
Each delivery became an invitation to spark a positive conversation about skin, with a clear message on the box “My Skin is My ______”, inviting customers to fill in the blank and complete it with their own story or message. The campaign achieved over 1 million in organic reach, delivered over 530,000 boxes in Saudi Arabia, and increased orders by 25 per cent.
