Electriclime produced Stranger Things Season 4 promotional video for Netflix MENA in KSA. With the support of the creative agency Science & Sunshine, the video was created to promote the launch of the hit Netflix series within the MENA region.
The video was against the backdrop of the AlUla national monument in the Medina region of KSA. Also known as ‘Elephant Rock’, the three-story geological site is set in the golden desert sands, providing the perfect backdrop for the eerie piece.

The Arabic language promotional video showcases the influencers visiting the monument and filming while the trademark eerie effects of the Stranger Things appear. On hearing the strange noises and seeing lights projected on the rockface, the influencers flee, leaving behind their devices. The video ends with a voice saying, “It’s time,” followed by end screen of the Stranger Things logo.
On the opportunity to shoot the video, Layal Mooti, production manager at Electriclime, said: “Shooting in a different country always comes with its challenges but it also comes with a ton of learning experiences. I’m glad to have been part of this job with a great client like Netflix and a great creative agency team.”

The video was one of many promotional activations for the launch across KSA. These included a live projection of the interdimensional rift on the AlUla for 24 hours and an live immersive experience. The installations of the portal also made an appearance across several malls in KSA including, Riyadh Park, Al Nakheel Mall, Mall of Arabia and Red Sea Mall.
