Starzplay has revealed its Ramadan content offerings during the Holy Month. The content will include series and programs featuring famous Arab stars from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, and other parts of the region.
The line-up features a variety of programmes with sports and entertainment offerings along with dramas and Ramadan cooking shows. The streaming platform will also be providing a Ramadan offer for the content which will be available in GCC countries.
The line-up will feature shows and drama series like Seroh Al Bateaa, Kashf Mestaagel and Downtown.
Seroh Al Bateaa, a historical drama, marks Khaled Youssef’s first venture into TV drama . It tells the story of a young man who is in search of the secret of the “Sultan Hamed” shrine located in a village in the Egyptian countryside. The plot alternates between present time and the French-Egyptian War of 1798. The series showcases prominent faces from Egypt and the region, including Ahmad Fahmy, Ahmed Salah El Saadany, Shams, Hussein Fahmy, Hanan Metawea and Khaled El Sawy.
Kashf Mestaagel is a dark comedy that follows an assassin’s journey towards redemption. When he seeks psychiatric help to repent for his crime-ridden past, complications begin to arise when the therapist finds himself entangled in his patient’s bizarre life. Starring Mostafa Khater, Mohamed abd al Rahman Toota and Hanady Mehana.
A firm fan favourite during Ramadan, Bab al Hara returns exclusively to Starzplay for its thirteenth season. The events take place in Syria towards the end of 1945, during the French mandate when the Syrians were eagerly anticipating the Evacuation Day of the last French soldier and Syria’s proclamation of independence on April 17, 1946. Nizar Abu Hajar makes a comeback in Season 13, portraying a new character in the series alongside Nijah Sefkouni, Fadia Khattab and Tayser Iddriss.
A modern-day social drama Downtown explores a range of intriguing tales set in the bustling city of Beirut. The show features a mix of captivating suspense, heart-wrenching romance, and thrilling action-packed scenes. The story centers around Noah, a former fighter who makes his way back to Beirut with a singular purpose: to avenge his brother Luay’s death at the hands of a merciless gang. Starring Amel Bouchoucha, Samer Ismail and Stephanie Saliba.
The platform will also showcase Ramadan cooking shows from Chef Bil Bayt, Matbakh Manal Al Alem and Khaymat Ramadan.
Famous celebrities and Bayt Besher will join Chef Bil Bayt in his cosy home kitchen to cook up some heart-warming meals. They will showcase their culinary skills in a fun casual setting.
Matbakh Manal Al Alem, Season 4 will showcase Chef Manal Alalem, “The Queen of the Arabian Kitchen” to grace dining tables with her delectable set menus and inspire Ramadan feasts.
Featuring a line up of 16 stellar chefs from across the world take over the kitchen, Khaymat Ramadan will prepare a range of scrumptious Iftar and Suhoor recipes bringing an exotic range of new flavours to the table.
