Luxury agency MAIA appoints Maria Gold as General Manager

MAIA a Dubai-based luxury agency specialised in supporting hotels, dining and luxury brands has appointed Maria Gold as General Manager.

The news comes as the agency celebrates six years since its founding in 2019 and welcomes its twenty-first team member.

As General Manager, Gold will partner with the Founder Shadi Moazami to guide the brand’s next stage of evolution. She will oversee MAIA’s three divisions: PR, Social and Studio, and play a central role in stewarding client relationships, driving new business opportunities and nurturing the team.

Gold joins MAIA with a wealth of experience in communications and brand leadership, gained both in-house with leading hotels and luxury brands, and in creative roles.

She is known for her ability to guide teams with empathy, build trusted client relationships, and balance commercial growth with cultural sensitivity.

Her arrival comes at a time when MAIA is investing in new capabilities, from creative content and social strategy to AI-enabled insights, to deliver work of the highest calibre for its growing roster of regional and international clients.

The appointment is in line with MAIA’s steady progression from a boutique consultancy into a regional communications agency with a global perspective.

Since its launch, MAIA has aimed to grow with intention, shaping a portfolio of clients across luxury hospitality, dining and design.

With Gold’s appointment, MAIA intends to begin a new chapter of expansion across the UAE, GCC and beyond, while staying true to its founding principles of care, creativity and integrity.
