Social Media Executive/ Community Engager
The Plot Pictures is GCC and MENAT’s first independent narrative studio. Our focus is to create a diverse slate of hyperlocal independent films, TV series, web series that find their space in both local and global audience. Our goal is to internally have a diverse team that is representative of the audience we wish to serve.
The Role
We’re on the hunt for a savvy and creative Social Media Executive / Community Engager to manage and grow our digital presence. You’ll be the voice of The Plot Pictures online, crafting content and driving conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
Develop, plan, and execute engaging content across all social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
Create end-to-end content—writing captions, shooting/curating visuals, editing videos, and scheduling posts.
Maintain a consistent brand voice that is bold, and aligned with our storytelling ethos.
Community Engagement
Actively monitor, respond to, and engage with followers in Arabic and English across platforms.
Build relationships with our audience, influencers, and film/entertainment communities.
Initiate and manage conversations that increase reach, engagement, and brand loyalty.
Campaigns & Collaborations
Work with other teams to support film/series launches, PR events, and creative campaigns.
Liaise with influencers, partners, and fan communities for collaborations.
Analytics & Optimization
Track performance metrics, prepare monthly social media reports, and provide insights for growth.
Stay on top of trends, platform updates, and audience preferences to keep content fresh and relevant.
Creative Input
Contribute fresh, out-of-the-box ideas for content, campaigns, and brand engagement.
Bring in industry relevant perspective to the table, ensuring our tone is current, and relatable.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
1–3 years of proven experience in social media management, content creation, or community engagement (preferably in entertainment, media, or creative industries).
Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
Strong communication skills with the ability to write concise, and impactful copy.
Hands-on experience with social media scheduling tools, analytics platforms, and content creation apps (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Strong understanding of current social media trends, meme culture, and digital storytelling.
Nice-to-Have
Basic video editing skills.
Experience in entertainment, film, or creative agencies.
Familiarity with influencer marketing.
Bold and creative with a sense of humor.
Socially aware and quick to pick up on trends.
Comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting to different content styles.
