With superfast 5G devices and new gaming consoles hitting the market, where are consumers headed?
Fast 5G technology is taking over the mobile landscape. 5G subscriptions have already surpassed 500,000 in the Gulf countries since its launch in 2019. Whilst some markets have slowed due to the pandemic, MENA subscribers are expected to reach 90 million by 2025.
At the same time as fast mobile connections have grown, the lockdown has seen an uptick in consumers buying gaming devices – including consoles, computers and phones. Even without the Covid factor, The MENA region hosts the fastest-growing gaming community, which is seeing 25 per cent annual growth and is expected to reach $6b revenues in 2021. Technological advancements like the rollout of 5G will also fuel the growth of gaming experiences on mobile devices.
Campaign’s 5G and Gaming webinar looks at what these twin trends mean for the consumer electronics market. We bring industry experts together to discuss what consumers are buying, how they are making their decisions and how marketers can capitalise on these trends. Join us to see what 5G technology means for the gaming industry and what current and future trends mean for consumer electronics brands.
