DayAway has announced the appointment of Maia as its GCC PR representative as it launches in the region.
Based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Morocco, DayAway is an online destination for guests to discover and book daytime experiences at hotels. Communications consultancy specialised in luxury hospitality, dining, and brands, Maia will be supporting DayAway for its UAE launch and post-launch communications strategy and execution.
Speaking about the partnership, Martha Waslen, founder and CEO of DayAway, said, “Expanding to the United Arab Emirates is an incredible milestone for DayAway, and we aspire to engage the community with our curated experiences. It’s important to have a partner who understands the local culture, our brand, and the fast-changing environment a travel tech company operates in. Maia has a stellar reputation in the hospitality space as well as the modern outlook and approach that we require. We’re looking forward to doing exciting things with them that will resonate in this market.”
Shadi Moazami, founder and managing director of Maia, commented: “It is with great pleasure that we start to work with DayAway. As an independent agency, we thrive off the opportunity to learn and evolve with our clients. DayAway has already disrupted the hospitality industries of other markets, and so we are very proud that we can support the team in doing so, in the UAE. With a growing portfolio of luxury hospitality brands and a creative spirit to do things differently, it is the perfect alignment for us.”
