Chalhoub Group, a partner for luxury across the Middle East, has been officially recognized as one of the ‘Best 30 Workplaces in the KSA’ for 2021 by Great Place to Work, a global research, human resources consultancy firm that identifies the best workplaces in over 60 countries worldwide. Entering the KSA listing for the first year ever, Chalhoub Group was named in second place, reflecting the company’s commitment to building a workplace culture that focuses on respect, empowerment and trust.
Having previously been recognized by Great Place to Work in the UAE, KSA is the latest country where Chalhoub Group has been recognized by the prestigious ranking. The official list, which was announced during a virtual awards ceremony on the 25th March 2021, is a ranking of the nation’s 30 best employers based on the confidential feedback of employees and an audit of management policies and practices.
With a long-standing presence in Saudi Arabia, Chalhoub Group’s success is attributed to its highly- skilled and dedicated workforce of just under 3,000 employees, across three main offices in the Kingdom. Professionalism, passion and the right people culture is what fuels the company’s key competitive edge in today’s market.
Within the Kingdom, Chalhoub Group has focused on leveraging and nurturing the enormous pool of local talent, to help achieve its ambitions and growth in this key market. By putting its people at the heart of its organization and implementing forward-thinking HR initiatives, Chalhoub Group has built an employee culture that connects people, inspires a sense of belonging and promotes a happier workplace.
To select the ‘Best Workplaces in the KSA’, Great Place to Work conducts an evaluation of each participating company. Sixty per cent of the company’s score is based on the results of the Institute’s proprietary Trust Index© survey, which is sent to the employees from each company. The survey asks questions related to their attitudes about the management’s credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction. The remaining forty per cent of the scoring is based on the company’s responses to the Institute’s Culture Audit©, which includes detailed questions relating to bold acts of leadership during the pandemic of the year 2020.
Commenting on this year’s Best Workplaces list, Tanzeel Rahman, managing director of Great Place to Work in the KSA and Bahrain, said: “Our goal is to evolve the work culture in the Kingdom by empowering employees and accelerating performance. The Best Workplaces list of 2021 shows a growing awareness among leaders in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating a truly serious commitment to creating workplaces that foster trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees. Workplace culture has become a major competitive advantage for their businesses and the list makers should be proud of this achievement.”
