Hessa studied Graphic Design at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, honing her knowledge with a Master of Arts in Digital Humanities from Kings College London, which sparked a curiosity in how culture and technology intersect and how this cross-section can be utilized for marketing.
With more than eight years of working experience in design, digital, branding, and marketing, Hessa’s expertise is well versed in all aspects of the making of a campaign. Hessa has recently joined QNTC, working on the global campaigns for the US/Canada, Europe, China, Japan, and Russia, notably where she is seen applying her creative thinking to QNTC’s upcoming regional and international campaigns.
Guiding principles
Hessa thrives on creative freedom and uses her significant abilities to collaborate with leadership, colleagues and agency partners. Her keen eye for creative excellence has been pivotal in her involvement in the soon-to-launch new Global brand campaign. Her voice, which is represented in work at the highest level at QNTC, helps shape and guide Qatar’s presentation to the rest of the world.
How has Covid-19 changed your job?
Despite the halt of global travel, Hessa and her team have never stood still. Instead, they have forged on with an international tourism campaign launch plan, world-class events and the local and international marketing of Qatar Clean – a tourism and hospitality industry programme to keep everyone safe from COVID-19.
Side hustle
Hessa has supported young entrepreneurs with her logical thinking and creative skills to develop their branding and business plans. She doesn’t ask for a fee for this work but instead uses it to help budding entrepreneurs and grow her own skills.
