Digital marketing and creative advertising agency Blink, which is commonly referred to as ‘The Biggest Little Agency’ has appointed Fouad Abdel Malak as Partner and Chief Creative Officer.

With more than 22 years of experience in the region, Abdel Malak previously led the in-house Creative and Innovation department for DAMAC Group, the region’s largest privately owned conglomerate.

In his new role, he has been tasked with elevating the agency’s creative offering through a multi-platform approach. Abdel Malak aims to leverage Blink’s broad capabilities to solve clients’ ever-evolving business challenges.

Commenting on the appointment, Karim Salman, Founder and CEO of Blink, said, “Fouad is a ‘disruptor’ by nature and is most passionate about integrated ideas centered around innovation. We are excited to have him lead the agency into new creative frontiers, which will showcase fresh ways of producing effective brand communications for our global and regional clients.”

Through his career, Abdel Malak has led some of the most awarded creative teams in the region across several network agencies, including TBWA, BBDO and McCann. He is well-known for creating award-winning campaigns for brands such as Mastercard, Pepsico, Nissan, Louvre Abu Dhabi, KFC and Emirates Airlines, among others.

Abdel Malak said, “I’ve learned so much from my previous jobs and will use that knowledge to help build the kind of agency I would have loved to have worked in: creatively irreverent, dynamic with a no-nonsense approach, while being supportive of a culture that welcomes, nurtures and grows people.”

He added, “We even clock out at 4:30 pm. Every day. No late nights, no burnout badges. Why? Because creativity thrives on balance, not exhaustion. A happy, well-rested team isn’t just good for us—it’s unstoppable for our clients.”

Abdel Malak was named 2019 Executive Creative Director of the Year in the MENA Region – according to the official B&W 2019 Report, and ranked eighth worldwide according to The Big One Rankings.
