At Campaign Middle East’s first Agency of the Year awards, Assembly was named Performance Marketing Agency of the Year. We had a quick chat with Kinloch Magowan, regional director, Assembly MENA.
Tell us about your journey to the award.
It has been a fantastic journey. Over the last couple of years, it has been very challenging for many agencies in the industry. However, we have had a strong retail client base, we developed our team with a new strategy division and grew the team across from Riyadh and Cairo; these three factors helped us get to move forward. We are very pleased to be here.
How will the award help your agency?
It is always good to have recognition within the industry. We get that already from our clients, publishers and partners that we work with. We look forward to celebrating next year. This is a great networking opportunity. It is fantastic to see familiar faces and other agencies, particularly the startup agencies and those that are growing in the space as well.
Do you have any predictions for 2023?
2023 will be a landmark year when it comes to digital. There are a lot of big changes in the industry expected next year with the loss of cookies and other factors that affect the performance side of the business. It is an opportunity for some of the strong performance agencies are going to stand out.
