Bugatti and adidas have paired up to create a limited edition football boot: the adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti.
The collaboration will feature only 99 pairs that will be available for purchase.
The new shoes designed to take on the “speed and lightness” of the car, while taking on the visual elements of Bugatti’s design.
The new collection takes on characteristics that define Bugatti.
According to Adidas, the shoe is not only engineered for speed but created with a ‘Form Follows Performance’ design philosophy.
The brands also aim to keep the collection “rare and sought”, aiming to extend the exclusive treatment the car receives to the boots.
For which the brands have announced that the 99 pairs off shoes will be auctioned through Adidas’s Web3 platform. Winners of the bid will receive a physical version as well as a digital twin of the shoe.
Branding the boot
The shoe takes on a Bugatti spin in its physical form. Coloured in a distinct blue that’s traceable to the brand, the shoe also incorporates a carbon fiber detailing to mimic the one used on the car.
On the side of the boot are the two mottos of the brands, “Impossible is Nothing” for adidas and “Create the Incomparable” to represent Bugatti.
Embedded in the back of the shoe is the insignia of automotive brand.
Pairs on the pitch
The boots will be worn for famous footballers, Rafael Leao and Karim Benzema, on a football pitch later this month.
Karim Benzema’s involvement comes as no surprise, as the athlete has been referred as ‘Bugatti Benz’ previously.
The player has been long associated with Bugatti, given that he owns two cars from the brand, the Bugatti Chiron along with the rare Bugatti Veyron.
On why the brands partnered up for shoe, Wiebke Ståhl, Managing Director at Bugatti international, said: “Bugatti is a brand renowned for its innovations and engineering ingenuity. Always inspired by the vision of it creates incomparable automotive masterpieces.
”We share this relentless drive for perfection with adidas, who apply the same rigorous approach to their boots, with ever lighter and more effective designs.”
