The launch of Effie Saudi Arabia

Effie Worldwide,  the global marketing industry’s effectiveness organisation and organiser of the Effie Awards®, has introduced Effie Saudi Arabia to the region for the first time.

Collaborating with NordStella, this expansion announces the inception of Effie’s inaugural national programme in the region, reinforcing its commitment to celebrating and championing excellence in marketing across diverse global landscapes.

NordStella, a subsidiary of Akama Holding, is the organiser behind the MENA Effie Awards, which have been acknowledging and honouring the most impactful marketing campaigns across the Middle East & North Africa since 2009.

Although campaigns from Saudi Arabia have been eligible for participation in the regional competition from the beginning, the introduction of a national programme signifies increased focus on the local marketing scene.

This move opens up fresh avenues for Saudi brands, agencies, and marketers to gain global recognition. With the launch of Effie Saudi Arabia, the country becomes the 55th addition to the esteemed Effie network worldwide.

Traci Alford, Global CEO at Effie Worldwide, said: “We are pleased to welcome Saudi Arabia to the global Effie network. We look forward to partnering with the Saudi marketing community to showcase the most effective marketing efforts that are inspiring consumers and growing their businesses,

“Any time we expand the Effie network, it is a great opportunity to further the global dialogue around effectiveness. The launch of Effie Saudi Arabia is an exciting milestone and I am confident that our long-time partners at NordStella will do a brilliant job bringing the program to life.”

Effie’s goal is to globally lead, inspire, and support marketing effectiveness through diverse educational and thought leadership programs.

Finalists and winners of Effie Saudi Arabia will earn points towards their standings in the Global Effie Index.

This index assesses the effectiveness of marketers, brands, holding companies, agency networks, agency offices, and independent agencies worldwide, determining rankings on both regional and local levels.
