The Brill Collective, a recently launched startup in the UAE, is bridging the gap between freelance consultants and traditionally-structured agencies within the marketing and communication industries.
Unlike traditional marketing and creative agencies, this one works as a collective of freelance consultants who offer a range of services to businesses, and yet works as a full-service business.
For freelancers in the marketing and communication industries, The Brill Collective provides access to more work opportunities and a collaborative network without the familiar bureaucracy. Freelancing has become one of the fastest-growing job segments in the Middle East, a Bayt.com report states. Digital marketing, information technology, customer service and graphic design are the fastest-growing segments for freelancers in the MENA region this year, the report adds.
The Brill Collective was founded by Amy Brill, who previously served as the Head of PR at M&C Saatchi UAE. She says, “This model takes everything I’ve loved and learnt from the agency world and matches it with the increasing number of incredibly talented consultants choosing to freelance. It is a new, agile way of servicing clients that’s balanced with valuing consultants as entrepreneurial business owners and recognising how the working world has, and will continue to change”.
The Brill Collective’s model offers flexibility and scalability to both, clients and consultants, by offering a diverse pool of vetted professionals such as planners, publicists, content creators and copywriters.
