TONOMUS wants to be a changemaker and an industry shaker for good. In case you have never heard of the name, TONOMUS is working to power the world’s first ecosystem of cognitive technologies at NEOM, an exciting new economic zone being built in Saudi Arabia.
TONOMUS is a subsidiary of NEOM and focuses on marketing to key partners and stakeholders through a purpose-driven approach. “We are a company devoted to developing technologies that will develop NEOM and change the world, making people’s everyday lives better and more efficient,” says Doha Marzouk, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at TONOMUS.
The environment at NEOM has been designed to foster and encourage innovation for companies looking to lead and change, and it has been a key driver in its success to date.
For TONOMUS, it is crucial to employ a marketing strategy that positions itself to partners that fall outside of Saudi Arabia.
“Our goal is to show technologies already in motion that are changing the lives and reality of those living in the region, and how they can do the same for those around the world,” Doha adds.
These technologies include infrastructure solutions like 5G, sub-sea cables, and data centres. But these technologies and solutions are only as good as its people.
For Doha marketing is a key driver for business success. “We’re looking to integrate brand positioning, customer psychology and creativity on one hand with the deep understanding of business models and product and digital tech and analytics. So mixing left and right brain.”
Technology and talent
With the purpose of driving business growth, TONOMUS is demonstrating how its technologies and solutions can change businesses, as part of an interconnected ecosystem.
Technology is crucial to its success, but doesn’t overshadow the importance of its employees and finding the right talent. TONOMUS is interested in people with the same passion of driving innovation for the region and for the world.
“What sets us apart from other companies is the fact that our people and our mission have the same goal: to be a leader in the industry and to make technology for good,” adds Doha.
“That would blend their technical expertise, having a growth and learning mindset and their creativity to help realise this vision, as individuals and as teams as the driving force.”
Alongside technology and talent, sustainability is a critical component of both TONOMUS and NEOM.
“It’s at the cornerstone of everything we do, whether it’s our venture business or the products that we build and how we envision building for the future. It’s quite a critical component as well for the success for Vision 2030.”
It’s very clear how driven TONOMUS is in its mission to provide purpose and use marketing to achieve its goals. Doha has ambitious plans and wants others to join its journey.
“It’s important not to lose sight of allowing for creativity and innovation while you’re continuing to keep track and measuring for results and having that North Star,” she adds.
