With the entry deadline of 29 August around the corner, Athar Awards – part of the Athar – Saudi Festival of Creativity – has outlined what and how campaigns can be entered across the categories.

According to Athar, regardless whether it was created for digital, print, PR, outdoor, cinema or events, work can be entered across multiple categories,

It shared an entry kit in both English and Arabic that covers the categories, scoring of entries, types of campaigns and the eligibility criteria.

It also marks the different categories that agencies, brands, individuals, and teams can apply for across the campaigns, leadership and team awards.

The entry kit highlights the different criteria that each campaign will be marked under, as well as what types of campaigns can be entered.

The campaigns can be submitted provided they were run between 1 January 2022 and 29 August 2024.

The entry kit also marks other criteria, rules and regulations, and the eligibility to enter the awards.

The entry checklist

The Saudi festival of creativity has also shared a checklist for agencies, brands, individuals, and teams to follow for the entry process.

First, agencies and brands need to identify the campaigns that they would like to enter, teams and leaders they would like to nominate. Next, they need to gain approval from clients and get them invested in the entry process.

The agency teams need to create a video case study of the campaign.

Finally, the agency needs to download the entry form, plan the entry and nominate the entry writer who will craft the written content and collate all supporting materials, before creating an account online ready to upload their submissions.

Setting benchmarks for creativity

The awards will set new benchmarks for Saudi Arabia’s creative and marketing industry.

“As the first of its kind to recognise and celebrate creative marketing excellence in the country, the Athar Awards 2024 are setting a new benchmark for progress,” shared Mohamed Al Ayed, Vice Chairman of Athar Festival and CEO of TRACCS.

An accolade specifically for the Kingdom, the Athar Awards will celebrate creatives for their effectiveness, marketers for their vision and their teams for pushing through to deliver results through creative marketing.

Finalists for the awards will be revealed in the lead up to the festival, and winners will be crowned on 06 November in Riyadh.
