The platform provides a digital environment focused on nurturing regional media talent and creatives, supporting local production, launching new initiatives, and expanding partnerships across multiple markets to help Arab content reach wider global audiences.
Dubai+ operates on a flexible hybrid model with both advertising video-on-demand and subscription video-on-demand offerings. Audiences can enjoy a wide range of free, ad-supported content, alongside competitively priced subscription options that unlock original productions, exclusive titles, and major sports tournaments on demand.
“Dubai+ represents a strategic step forward for us. It enhances our ability to create stronger content, reach wider audiences, and empower creative talent, while staying competitive in a fast-changing media environment,” said His Excellency Mohamed AlMulla, Chief Executive Officer, DMI.
Family-safe content
At the core of the platform is family-friendly content that align with the UAE’s cultural and social values. Dubai+ features more than 20 exclusive series, six original productions, more than 170 international titles, and a dedicated sports catalogue covering 12 live championships at launch.
“We live in a world that is not short of content, but overwhelmed by it,” said His Excellency Salem Balyouha, Chief Executive Officer of Media Content Sector, DMI in his speech at the launch event.
“Every day, thousands of hours are produced across countless platforms and endless options,” he said. “In this environment, the challenge is no longer simply what to watch – but how to choose, and what we can trust.”

H.E. Balyouha explained that prioritising family-safe content is what shaped the direction of Dubai+ from its inception.
“When we set out to develop Dubai+, our primary question was not how many hours of content we could offer,” he said. “The more important question was the impact we wanted to have in every home.”
The new platform is built on this foundation of safety, with a user-experience that allows audiences to choose with confidence what appears on their screens. Through precise classification systems and transparent viewing controls, Dubai+ aims to give families in the region peace of mind when viewing content.
