Campaign’s PR Faces to Watch 2022 – Malaika Fernandes, PR Director, Atteline
Sophie Simpson, Managing Director, Atteline: Her panache and poise may catch your eye, but Malaika has ambition and skill that demands much more notice. Malaika represents a new era of industry leadership. Her quick career progression and success today cements that she makes not just her clients but those around her a priority – and this is what captured our attention at Atteline. In the time we have worked together to date Malaika prizes authenticity and hard work in all her business dealings. In addition to her determination to get each “transaction” to the closing table, she brings a passion for making her community a better place to live and work and is an inspiring example to her generation. She aims high every day, and it shows.
In my eight years in the PR industry, I have had the privilege of leading global & regional luxury, retail, entertainment, and healthcare brands. I am passionate about building and mentoring teams, navigating an evolving media landscape, spearheading initiatives across media platforms, and strategizing award-winning campaigns for clients.
I have successfully completed a Leadership program at Cornell University, a Master’s Degree in English Literature, a postgraduate degree in Public Relations & Corporate Communications, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism.
I truly believe “Trust isn’t everything; it’s the only thing” especially in the PR industry, as it forms the basis of relationships between individuals – be it colleagues, clients, media or other stakeholders.
