Athar – Saudi Festival of Creativity’s inaugural edition of Athar Awards is out to set new benchmarks for Saudi Arabia’s creative and marketing industry.
“As the first of its kind to recognise and celebrate creative marketing excellence in the country, the Athar Awards 2024 are setting a new benchmark for progress,” shared Mohamed Al Ayed, Vice Chairman of Athar Festival and CEO of TRACCS.
An accolade specifically for the Kingdom, the Athar Awards will celebrate creatives for their effectiveness, marketers for their vision and their teams for pushing through to deliver results through creative marketing.

Athar Awards categories
The Awards span across a total of 24 categories recognising campaigns, individual leaders, emerging talent and teams.
Each category of the award is created to follow the pillars of Saudi Vision 2030.
The awards look to honour work that goes beyond conventional marketing, drives transformative change, bolsters infrastructure development, and supports business growth.
Entries can be received from the public, private and government sectors, agencies, entrepreneurs and freelancers.
The Athar Awards are open to receive entries from campaigns that have been created and executed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The campaign categories cover creative work done towards empowerment, sustainability, national day initiatives, business growth, transformation and more. Each campaign will be judged on the research behind it, the creative idea, strategy, execution and the results achieved.
Individual awards will recognise creative, marketing and agency leaders as well as young talent. They will be judged on the following criteria: performance, innovation, business and industry contribution.
The awards also include team awards to recognise the best creative, marketing, business growth and media teams of the year. The awards will be judged on a team’s scale of business growth, people, innovation and industry advancement.
Agencies need to follow the requirements of the entry, be clear and concise, demonstrate the impact and results and tell a story to create a strong entry.
The entry period for the Awards’ 24 opens for both English and Arabic submissions on 30 May and will run until 5 September.
Finalists for the awards will be revealed in the lead up to the festival, and winners will be crowned on 06 November in Riyadh.
