The Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) has revealed new leadership for its 2026-2028 term, with Tania Kteily, Associate Director at Weber Shandwick MENAT elected as President.

She is supported by Yara Hamdan, Communication Consultant, at Disney+ MENA via HAVAS Red Middle East, as Vice President. The board is also being strengthened with the addition of two distinguished communication professionals, Tala Majzoub and Dalia Alqadhi.

The MEPRA Youth Board is an advisory body established by MEPRA, serving as a bridge between emerging and fresh talent and industry leaders.

Through thought leadership, mentorship and industry-led initiatives, it creates clearer pathways into and deeper understanding of the profession and empowers and guides emerging talent across the Middle East.

The newly elected leadership team, working closely with the Executive and Strategy Boards, is responsible for bringing the Youth Board’s mission to life.

Kteily said, “The next generation of PR practitioners is designing the future of our industry. As our field evolves faster than ever, and as we navigate uncertain times, connecting established and emerging perspectives has never been more important.”

She added, “I’m incredibly proud to work alongside this A-team of award-winning young leaders to help bridge the gap between fresh talent and industry veterans. Over the next couple of years, we’ll be offering mentorship in different formats, building on our own experiences and ensuring young talent is heard at the highest levels of our industry. I’m also very happy to have Yara Hamdan by my side as Vice President and to welcome the incredible Tala Majzoub and Dalia Alqadhi to our team. Together, we will aim to demystify public relations and highlight the many opportunities it offers. We have a lot in store, and I can’t wait to share more.”

Majzoub and Alqadhi have been invited to join the board following their standout performance at the 2025 MEPRA Awards.

Majzoub, Communications Manager at HAVAS Red Middle East, won the prestigious ‘Dave Robinson Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year’ award, while Alqadhi, Associate Manager at Weber Shandwick MENAT, was highly commended for the same award.

Membership on the MEPRA Youth Board is extended exclusively to young professionals who receive these recognitions, following a two-stage selection process that includes an interview judged by a panel of industry leaders.

Current members come from leading organisations including Weber Shandwick MENAT, HAVAS Red Middle East, Disney+, Abu Dhabi Investment Council, Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, Gambit Communications, National Health Insurance Company – Daman and Uber.
