In a first of its kind for the regional marketing and advertising landscape, Dubai-born Japanese concept café Bocasu has created and produced its own 10-part scripted comedy-drama series starring its actual team members, with no professional actors.
Filmed entirely in Dubai, BocaShow is a narrative-driven series inspired by the real journey of building Bocasu, the ambition, creative clashes, humour, cultural crossover and human dynamics that shaped the concept from idea to reality.
Chef Yu Hasegawa, Isa, and the Bocasu team play versions of themselves, bringing authenticity and unscripted chemistry to a structured comedic storyline.
The show, created by SKAP BROS and produced by Pouria Takavar and Keivan Mohseni, captures the energy of launching a concept in Dubai, the pressure, the personalities and the passion behind what makes Bocasu more than just a café.

The first season even features guest appearances from Coach to Khabib Nurmagomedov and UFC stars Javier Mendez, and Emirati Pro MMA Fighter Hadi Omar Al Hussaini, among other celebrities and entrepreneurs adding to the cultural crossover that defines the unique series.
Blending real-life humour with more heartfelt moments, Boca Show is an unconventional approach to brand storytelling with its homegrown series that blurs the lines between hospitality and television.
The episodes are released weekly on You Tube every Thursday at 4pm. Guests visiting the venue can request a private viewing anytime in the screening area upstairs.
The mini series has already become a hot topic of conversation within the UAE, and has witnessed incremental increase in viewership with each episode that it has launched.
Tucked away in the heart of Al Quoz, Bocasu is centred around grounded frequencies, creating a natural sense of clarity. The show highlights every detail, from the natural stone, wood, and layered textures that form the encoded foundation of the design, to the centuries-old bonsai cared for daily for 250 years that welcomes guests as they explore the world of Bocasu. The cafe also touts a collection valued at over AED 10 million placed throughout the expansive venue.
The Japanese concept is led by Chef Yu Hasegawa, who brings more than two decades of experience across Hongkong and New York, with a menu that reflects his belief that intention and clarity outweigh volume. Chef Hasegawa explains how he views cooking as a form of communication, expressed through a curated selection of dishes made with care.
The cafés offerings include Bocasu’s signature Jawarma, a Middle Eastern favourite interpreted through a Japanese lens to honour both cultures, and fresh seafood hand rolls made with individually flamed seaweed for a concise crunch.
