WATCH IT to launch eight FAST channels, integrate app across LG smart TVs

The new FAST channels will feature a lineup of Egyptian drama, family entertainment and WATCH IT Originals, aligning with the growing demand for connected TV and ad-supported streaming experiences.

WATCH IT, a leading Arabic streaming platform for Egyptian and regional content, has revealed the expansion of its strategic partnership with LG Electronics, reinforcing the presence of Arabic entertainment across the smart TV ecosystem in the Middle East.

As part of the collaboration, WATCH IT will launch eight free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels on LG Smart TVs, offering free access to curated Arabic entertainment content.

In parallel, the WATCH IT application will be integrated into the LG Smart TV Launcher across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan and Egypt, enabling seamless access to the platform directly through LG television interfaces.

The new FAST channels will feature a lineup of Egyptian drama, family entertainment and WATCH IT Originals, aligning with the growing demand for connected TV and ad-supported streaming experiences.

At the same time, the integration within LG’s webOS ecosystem enhances accessibility and content discoverability for viewers across the region.

The partnership marks another milestone in WATCH IT’s connected TV expansion strategy, combining premium Arabic storytelling with advanced smart TV technology to further support the growth of digital entertainment in the Middle East.

To celebrate the partnership expansion, LG and WATCH IT are offering eligible users a complimentary six-month subscription to the WATCH IT platform on selected LG TV models until the end of March.

“We’re proud to accelerate our strategic partnership with WATCH IT as they drive unprecedented expansion across the Middle East and unlock new possibilities within our webOS ecosystem,” said Phil Won Jung, CEO of LG Electronics Middle East & Africa. “This collaboration demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering world-class, culturally authentic entertainment experiences that resonate with audiences across the region. Together, we are redefining premium streaming for the Middle East.”

“This expanded partnership with LG represents a pivotal moment in our mission to bring authentic Arabic storytelling to every home across the Middle East,” said Nashwa Gad, Chairperson and CEO of WATCH IT. “By deepening WATCH IT’s integration within the LG webOS ecosystem and expanding into four additional regional markets, we are not only broadening access to premium entertainment, but also celebrating and preserving Arabic cultural storytelling through cutting-edge technology.”

With the launch of the new FAST channels and the broader integration of the WATCH IT app across LG Smart TVs, the partnership is set to further accelerate the growth of connected TV entertainment in the region while bringing Arabic stories to wider audiences across the Middle East.
