The Saudi Broadcasting Authority, SBA, has announced the third Saudi Media Forum will be held from February 19-21, 2024.
The announcement was made by Mohammed Al-Harthi, the President of the Saudi Media Forum and CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority.
The three-day event will include a range of topics related to the sector’s growth and future, covering areas such as visual, audio, print and digital mediums.It will also discuss the media’s role in society, politics and the economy on a global scale.
Organised by SBA in collaboration with the Saudi Journalists Association, the forum aims to highlight its role in fostering a positive impact, exploring the latest technologies, and creating a community for the exchange of local and international media experiences.
SBA CEO Mohammed Al-Harthi stated the forum will feature the Future of Media Exhibition, FOMEX.
It is the biggest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, showcasing the latest experiences in the media industry, television, and radio production.
The event will host specialised workshops presented by experts, academics, and practitioners in various media fields.
The forum will end by awarding the winners of the Saudi Media Forum Award in its third edition.
The award categories include Journalism, Audio-visual production, Scientific production in the media field, digital media, innovation and leadership in the media field, and media excellence.
The award categories aim to encourage fair competition and honour individuals and groups contributing to the media landscape in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world.
The award serves as a recognition of outstanding achievements and a stimulus for further excellence in the field of media and communication.
