The Edge, a Middle East-based content creation and production company and a subsidiary of the UK’s Zinc Media Group, has announced its permanent move into Riyadh with a new office to launch on 1 October.

Following more than 15 years of client-servicing in Saudi Arabia through its office in Doha, Qatar, The Edge aims to expand its commitment to supporting brands, companies, and national projects by telling the stories of the region on a global stage.

“Investing in a permanent office in Riyadh represents a major milestone in our 15-year journey in the region,” says Mark Browning, CEO of Zinc Media Group.

“It positions us at the heart of the Kingdom’s creative ecosystem,” he adds, “enabling closer collaboration with local stakeholders, ministries, and talent to produce content that celebrates Saudi heritage, innovation, and Vision 2030 ambitions for audiences worldwide.”

Alex Amos will lead The Edge’s Riyadh office. With 15 years of experience working in Saudi Arabia, he combines deep local knowledge with international expertise in content and film production.

“Saudi Arabia has been at the heart of our work in the region for years,” says Amos, Executive Producer of The Edge. “By opening our official office in Riyadh, we’re building on that foundation to invest in local talent, strengthen long-term partnerships, and use our creativity to amplify Saudi Arabia’s voice to the rest of the world.”

The Riyadh office will launch with a core team of five, supported by The Edge’s teams in Doha, London, and Paris. According to Browning, this structure “allows us to ensure the highest creative and technical standards.”

Our vision is to grow a larger team over time, with a strong emphasis on recruiting and mentoring local Saudi talent,” Browning adds. “By blending local professionals with international specialists, we aim to create a collaborative environment where knowledge and skills are shared, nurturing a sustainable, world-class creative workforce in the Kingdom.”

The Edge has also launched refreshed branding alongside its move to Riyadh. The new look aims to reflect its three areas of focus: film, education and immersive experiences.

“Our refreshed brand communicates our mission: to open eyes and change minds through the power of film, events, TV, learning and immersive experiences,” says Browning.

With this expansion, Zinc aims to continue its strong growth trajectory, with revenues up 72 per cent year-on-year and a pipeline of multi-million-pound projects across the Middle East. As part of this portfolio, The Edge’s clients in the Kingdom include Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Red Sea Global, Seven Productions, Evolution, and Mishkat.

As Saudi Arabia invests heavily in its creative economy, The Edge claims to stand ready to be a trusted partner in delivering the content, experiences, and storytelling to match the Kingdom’s goals.
