Shaquille O’Neal, Flipperachi drop rap track in Yas Island campaign

The integrated campaign, which will run from Nov 11 for a month, will be carried across broadcast, radio, billboards, digital and social media channels.

Basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal and Bahrain’s very own rap sensation Flipperachi have joined forces to drop a rap track as part of Miral Destinations and Yas Island’s latest ‘What Can’t We Do‘ campaign.

Turning Yas Island’s top spots into a stage for fun, thrills, and all things larger-than-life, the campaign hero film is shot across the island’s most iconic attractions.

Speaking to Campaign Middle East about the objective behind the campaign, Badr Bourji, Senior Vice President – Marketing at Miral Destinations, said, “The ‘What Can’t We Do’ campaign aims to position Yas Island Abu Dhabi as a leading leisure and entertainment destination where anything is possible. By pairing Shaquille O’Neal’s diverse talents with Yas Island’s world-class attractions and experiences, the campaign connects with audiences globally, aiming to expand Yas Island’s presence as a top choice for families, thrill-seekers, and adventure enthusiasts.”

The ‘What Can’t We Do’ rap song aims to celebrate this versatility, showcasing how both Shaquille O’Neal and Yas Island continue to deliver unforgettable surprises.

The campaign was brought to life by Deja Vu as the production house, Momentum as the creative agency, Initiative for media planning and buying, Publicis Groupe as the social agency, and Weber Shandwick as the PR agency.

“Partnering with Bahrain’s rap sensation Flipperachi adds regional relevance, attracting visitors from the GCC, along with international tourists and UAE residents. Flipperachi’s rap flows give this anthem a regional vibe that’s impossible to resist. It’s fun, it’s fresh, and it’s got adventure written all over it,” Bourji added.
