Qatar Airways launches first ever digital destination in Fortnite

The World’s Best Airline invites young travellers and gamers to QVerse Island, a digital-first experience, by bringing its signature products and the iconic landmarks of Doha, the capital of Qatar, into the Fortnite universe.

Qatar Airways is now on Fortnite and has officially invited travellers to embark on its groundbreaking digital journey, QVerse Island in Fortnite, further demonstrating the airline’s dedication to pioneering next-generation digital experiences.

The experience is open to all Fortnite players, offering them an immersive way to explore the city while engaging with the airline’s brand experience.

To play, gamers should search for “QVerse” or enter the code 6020-0265-6735 inside Fortnite.

The airline, which made headlines as the first to introduce an AI influencer, Sama, the world’s first AI digital human cabin crew, continues to push boundaries in redefining how it connects with consumers. Qatar Airways is once again elevating the travel experience by launching an immersive, fully digital recreation of Doha, the nation’s capital, within the Fortnite universe.

A ‘golden ticket’ competition

QVerse Island is now available to explore and, between 7 and 20 February 2026, players can join global gaming content creators in a hunt for a golden ticket, giving them the chance to win flight tickets with Qatar Airways.

To complete the challenge, players must watch for an on-screen alert notifying them where on the map the golden ticket is spawning.

Once they receive the notification, they race against the clock to find it. Time is of the essence, as the golden ticket only remains in place for a few minutes before respawning at another location on the map.

Once found, players must take a screenshot of their in-game character with the golden ticket. This image must be shared on Instagram, Facebook, or X with the hashtag #FlyWithQR. Competitors must also follow Qatar Airways on Instagram to be in with a chance of winning.

Players are automatically entered into a draw to win complimentary Qatar Airways flight tickets once these steps are completed.

While playing alongside global gamers is available only on selected dates, the golden ticket competition runs until 31 March 2026. Qatar Airways is hosting a new draw each week, so, if you haven’t won yet, you can try again next time.

In Fortnite, travellers commence their adventure at Hamad International Airport, where they can engage with Sama, the virtual cabin crew member. A prominent digital figure across all Qatar Airways platforms, Sama plays a central role as the in-world guide in QVerse Island.

Her presence in Fortnite strengthens the continuity of Qatar Airways’ digital identity that includes the airline’s immersive web experience, QVerse, online brand storytelling, experiential activations, and interactive environments. By guiding players, Sama is bringing the airline’s brand to a new cultural space.

Once on the island, players, accompanied by Sama, are invited to discover the celebrated Qsuite and The Orchard, embarking on mission-driven challenges throughout Doha’s iconic landmarks. These include the National Museum of Qatar, West Bay, and other iconic attractions.

Pioneering next-generation digital experiences

The launch aligns with Qatar Airways’ growing investment in next-generation digital experiences, including the rollout of Starlink, the world’s fastest inflight Wi-Fi. More than 120 widebody aircraft are now Starlink-equipped, offering a faster-than-home Wi-Fi experience on an increasing number of routes across six continents, including flights to the majority of destinations served by Qatar Airways in the Americas and Australia*, and on prominent routes in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Together, Starlink, Sama, and QVerse Island signal the airline’s commitment to creating a connected, digitally intuitive travel experience that begins long before take-off.
