Narrative Shapers, a new bespoke communications consultancy, has launched this month with its stated aim of helping take local narratives to international audiences.
Headquartered in Riyadh and serving the wider region, the consultancy will focus on three key areas – media and speaker training, executive communications and event preparation.
Narrative Shapers is founded by industry veteran Alex Malouf.
With two and a half decades worth of experience working for governments, multinationals, and giga-projects in industries such as energy, fast moving consumable goods, mobility, real estate, sustainability and technology, Malouf’s aim for Narrative Shapers is to help the region ensure that its stories have the desired effect globally.
Malouf said, “Over the past couple of decades, I have seen how the region has transformed into a global hub for tourism, commerce and development. Strategies such as Vision 2030 make it clear the importance of audiences worldwide to national growth, be it for tourism, real estate or industry.
He added, “What Narrative Shapers will do is help executives and organisations here ensure their stories land with the intended effect by bridging the gap between local and international stakeholders.”
The consultancy is already working with a number of entities in areas such as mobility, technology and tourism.
Malouf concluded, “We have brilliant stories to tell and share about what has and is happening here. What we need to do well is understand the audience we are talking with, have a sense of what they are interested in and what they want to know from us, and be prepped to tell our story well. Every question is an opportunity for engagement, and that’s what Narrative Shapers is here for.”
