Nadim Samara, CEO of Omnicom Media Group MENA, will be leaving his role on 30 June 2020, following a decision taken by mutual agreement, said OMG in a statement.
OMG is the parent group for OMD, PHD and Hearts & Science media agencies.
Samara had been CEO of OMD’s UAE operations from 2016 to 2018, when he was promoted to CEO of OMD MENA. A year ago, in June 2019, he was made CEO of OMG MENA.
To ensure continuity and a smooth transition, Elie Khouri, the group’s Executive Chairman, will add the function of CEO to his role, a title he held until Samara’s promotion last year. The rest of the management structure is unaffected.
“Nadim’s career at OMG, spanning 17 years, has been very impressive and his contribution to our group’s development cannot be overstated. As well as a consummate professional, we bid farewell to a dear friend with whom we’ve shared countless experiences, challenges and successes. We wish him nothing but the best for his next career move,” Khouri said.
