At What’s On, online reporters are the beating heart of the team. They are driven, bursting with ideas and have their finger on the pulse. They love to get the scoop on new events, restaurants and attractions, and are responsible for keeping WhatsOnSaudiArabia.com/ar fresh, interesting, and relevant. You’ll be writing and posting stories, helping storyboard videos, and making sure our content is snappy and engaging.

Our ideal candidate is a strong Arabic writer who’s obsessed with lifestyle and entertainment; has a close eye for detail and experience working in Word Press; is extremely organised; and excels in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Research and write creative, innovative, and clean copy for What’s On Saudi Arabia – Arabic in line with our digital strategy
• Shoot and edit creative, innovative and engaging video content for What’s On Saudi Arabia – Arabic in line with our social strategy
• Create and publish sponsored content as and when required.
• Run through digital analytics with the Group Editor periodically to understand and improve content performance across platforms.
• Assist with brand event executions.
• Attend networking events as required by the Group Editor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, or a relevant field
• Minimum of two years’ relevant professional work experience
• An Arabic speaking creative writer with a flair for a good story
• A self-starter, with an ability to think independently and innovatively
• Excellent command over Arabic and English language
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines
• A team player with willing and a can-do attitude
