McDonald’s has unveiled new signboards, lampposts and mupis on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The panoramic signboards has been set to encourage visitors to come and enjoy meal offerings at McDonalds locations.
The new campaign ‘It’s a Sign’ features locations and activities that resemble the brands Golden Arches with no inclusion of their food or logo.
The concept was inspired by what we see around us, turning common sights into a visual cue for the brand.
This simple and eye-catching campaign has been live for 10 days and aimed to attract the attention of drivers passing by.
Walid Fakih, CEO at McDonald’s UAE shared, “We have been an active member of the community in the UAE for nearly three decades, and our ‘It’s a Sign’ campaign sought to leverage the iconic standing of our Golden Arches in the context of our long-lived local presence.
“The result was an imaginative move to capture the attention of our customers on a large scale, inspired by what they see around the city.
“Despite having no visible McDonald’s menu items or logo, our brand fans still engaged with the concept, and we are delighted to have been able to explore a unique way in which to drive brand awareness at this scale.”
The agencies that were part of the campaign include FP7(creative and idea owners), UM (media buying), Weber Shandwick (PR support), and Netizency (social media support).
