Disney+ MENA has launched a campaign to tie together Saudi storytelling with iconic entertainment options available on the streaming platform.
Through three short videos on the Disney+ Saudi Arabia Instagram account, audiences can be a part of how mainstream entertainment becomes a part of everyday Saudi households.
Themed together with the tagline (narrated in Arabic) ‘Watch and Live the Stories’, the campaign showcases fine-dining kabsa inspired by Disney’s Ratatouille x FX’s The Bear, Wolverine-inspired toothbrush claws, and a father singing beloved Disney tunes.
According to the streaming platform, the campaign’s objective is to ‘reimagine Disney+ favourites in moments that feel like home.’ The campaign is led by three 15-second hero videos that weave Saudi culture into iconic stories from across The Walt Disney Company.

Disney+ MENA picked six top performing content offerings on its platform in the region to inspire the narratives of the AV-led campaign. Apart from the titles mentioned above, the streaming provider also included Pixar’s Inside Out 2, Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) and Disney’s Frozen.

According to Disney+ MENA, the magic is in the details. From dallah coffee pitchers and folded ghutras by the door to the unmistakable aroma of bakhoor incense burners, every scene hints at Saudi culture. “Even kabsa becomes a star in its own right,” the streaming platform said.

The three videos have gathered a grand total of 6.2 mn views on Disney+ MENA’s Instagram page, at the time of publishing. The videos also accumulated more than 6000 likes and over 100 comments.
