Chris Hemsworth ‘Could Use a Vacation Right Now’ in Abu Dhabi

Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky feature in a new campaign film for Experience Abu Dhabi, in an effort to boost tourism to the city from global audiences.

Hollywood couple Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have teamed up with Experience Abu Dhabi to showcase the city’s offerings.

Through a new campaign film titled ‘Could Use a Vacation Right Now,’ the couple are seen on set, dreaming of a much-needed holiday. Blending comedy and action, the film portrays the couple acknowledging that they could use a break while imagining the blissful moments they could experience in a destination that has it all: Abu Dhabi.

The campaign also announces a new agreement between Abu Dhabi and the celebrity couple.

H.E. Nouf Mohamed Al-Boushelaibi, Executive Director of Strategic Marketing & Communications at DCT Abu Dhabi, said: “We’re incredibly passionate about sharing Abu Dhabi with the world and are proud to have Elsa and Chris partnering with us. Their dynamic energy and love for discovery highlights everything Abu Dhabi has to offer, from inspiring cultural experiences to adventures, creating meaningful and lasting memories, all at their own pace.”

The actor and his wife have entered a two-year agreement with Experience Abu Dhabi to feature in advertisements and campaigns promoting tourism to the city to a global audience.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Experience Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi’s got everything we love all in one place,” said Hemsworth in an official statement.

The campaign drew its inspiration from the insight that too many people in the world are buckling under the weight of deadlines, back-to-back meetings, and an unyielding to-do list. Therefore, the intention was to strike a chord with a large audience using the relatable phrase ‘Could Use a Vacation Right Now’.

The spot also aims to resonate with families and couples as the target audience. Pataky said: “When it comes to family holidays, Abu Dhabi has it all. Whether it is for us as a couple or a family, every day here is a new adventure, there is something for each one of us to enjoy and discover.”

This sentiment is reflected in the campaign film as Hemsworth and Pataky enjoy various activities in Abu Dhabi, one for every experience on the spectrum, from adventure to relaxation.
