Cannes Lions has announced the ‘See it Be it’ talent programme open for applications for the year 2023.
According to Cannes Lions website, the ‘See it Be it’ programme aims to support creative female talent from across the global industry to accelerate them into senior creative roles.
Founded in 2014, the programme aims to achieve equal gender representation of creative directors and leaders in the advertising industry globally. The Lions will select sixteen finalists of the all the eligible applicants who will receive an all-access Festival pass and will also be able to attend exclusive sessions and workshops with industry leaders.
The 2023 cohort will also be provided with travel to and from Cannes along with accommodation.
Over the years, finalists from previous cohorts have gone from moving into leadership positions, to winning Lions and becoming Cannes Lions jurors.
The programme website also says, “Each year the See It Be It alumni group has amassed additional cohorts which have grown and mobilised the community. This expansion has created a movement and achieved the ripple effect of women embodying the programme in their everyday lives, bringing learnings back to their local agencies, communities, and countries.”
Applications close on 13 February and the full See It Be It 2022 cohort will be announced in April.
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity takes place from 19-23 June 2023, in Cannes, France.
