Starcom MENA has struck gold at this year’s Media & Marketing Awards.
The agency won the festival’s corporate social responsibility award for its ‘Spread Some Inspiration’ campaign for Philadelphia – a campaign that celebrated the unreported philanthropy and social contributions of women in the GCC.
Alexandra Reynolds, international client services director at Starcom MENA, said: “The campaign created a forum to promote these women’s extraordinary achievements – www.phillyarabia.com. We integrated Facebook and other sharing functions, and teamed up with the region’s leading lifestyle magazine to highlight the stories we uncovered. As a result, over 21,000 people visited the site, sparking a new public discussion of female philanthropy and social activism.”
The win follows the agency’s success at last year’s awards, where its ‘Confessions of Corporate Spies’ landed ‘campaign of the year’ and ‘best use of content’.
