D&AD Awards announces jury from the MENA region

D&AD has revealed the jury for the D&AD Awards 2024.

The jury is made up of a total of 350 creatives from 50 countries.

The jury also includes seven creative faces from the region, who will travel to London to participate in the judging process. 

Impact BBDO’s chief creative, Ali Rez will judge the Impact Category.

Tuesday Communications CEO & CCO Alok Gadkar joins the Health & Wellbeing Jury and Fadi Yaish, the Founder and Creative Chairman of ‿ and us, joins the Press & Outdoor Jury. 

Two creatives from the Publicis Groupe, Shereen Mostafa and Kapil Bhimekar, have been announced as part of the jury. 

Mostafa, the Head of Production at the Groupe, will judge Production Design while Bhimekar, Senior Creative Director at Leo Burnett, will judge Photography. 

Independent Creative Director Ranim Al Halaky will judge the Typography category. 

The final jury from region comes from Egypt. Mahmoud Ghali, the Founder and VFX Supervisor of production Monkeys. He will has joined the visual effects Jury. 

These jury members will come together to judge last year’s best work across the global design and advertising industries. They will award creative excellence and will recognise work that inspires. 

Winners are awarded with an iconic pencil. Last year, entrants from the MENA region won 15 Pencils: 14 for UAE and 1 for Egypt.

“Entries to these awards actively support D&AD’s mission as an educational charity by funding learning programmes that bridge the gap between education and industry. This is made possible by these top calibre professionals from around the world offering their time, wisdom and expertise.”

The 62nd annual awards programme will take place at a new location at the London Southbank from 18-22 May, 2024.
